The 2014 Kids Help Phone 'Homes for the Holidays' Tour: Nov. 29th/30th

Revamp is a proud participant in the 2014 Kids Help Phone 'Home for the Holidays'.

Life is complicated. 100% of young people will experience sadness, frustration, grief, and stress. How they're supported is what matters most.

Kids Help Phone has been a lifeline for kids for over 20 years, a lifeline that provides a safe place for kids to turn to without fear or ridicule. They help with any problem—large or small. The Kids Help Phone helps the 'average' kid struggling with an issue they don't feel comfortable discussing with anyone else, and they help the 'high needs' and 'at risk' children who may turn to them repeatedly over many years.

By providing 24 hour confidential and anonymous support 365 days a year, the Kids Help Phone is able to change and save kids' lives. They are a charity that is present in every Saskatchewan community, as well as in every other Canadian region.

Some of the problems kids face today didn't exist 20 years ago, such as self- harm, gang recruitment, cyber-bullying and eating disorders. However, it's clear one thing hasn't changed: young people continue to trust Kids Help Phone.

Revamp's co-owners expand their retail operations: MINT.
Innovative home furnishings company, MINT has just opened it’s second store in Vancouver’s Armoury Design District. The new 2500 sqft location at 1880 Fir Street (at West 3rd) will be showcasing a fabulous range of larger upholstered goods in a New York inspired loft space; along with unique furniture, lighting and objects from around the globe.

Co-owners of Vancouver’s MINT Interiors, Michael McNamara and Rien Sharma, opened the doors of the new space on August 29th 2012. Rien Sharma states,

"The Armoury District emerged as a cutting edge design area after the recession in 2009, when several vacant storefronts opened up beside East India Carpets on 2nd Avenue between Fir and Pine. Now there are over a dozen shops in the district offering a fantastic array of items for the home. When we were searching for a location for MINT Interiors, this district was the first to come to mind. With our truly unique product line, we wanted to be located in the center of this up and coming area for innovative interior design and home furnishings."

MINT was recently given the honour of being the exclusive retailer of Jonathan Adler furniture in Vancouver. Among other items they available that rate highly for originality and beauty are tables by iBride of France that echo the animal world, Italian modernist cuckoo clocks, glassware by Joe Cariati, and textiles from Aviva Stanoff.

The original store (which opened in 2010 at 1805 Fir Street) will be also evolving over the coming months as it morphs in to the 'MINT Gallery'. The MINT Gallery will feature Jonathan Adler furnishings along with artisan pieces such as hand-blown glass and fine art. It will also be expanding with some exciting new wares.

This historic area has housed creative individuals for many years, but recently has really begun to flourish, with many new additions such as Living Space Interiors and the Chocolate Arts Cafe.

“The neighborhood has started to evolve as a place filling up with a group of creative and design driven people,” said Kelly Deck, Director of Kelly Deck Design and host of HGTV’s “Take it Outside” design series. “Vancouver is hungry for more unique furnishings and MINT Interiors has fabulous unique pieces.”

MINT Interiors retail outlet is open to the public and caters to designers and shoppers who are seeking to create homes that reflect their individuality. MINT Interiors can be found at 1805 & 1880 Fir Street (at West 2nd & West 3rd Avenues). Hours are Monday to Saturday 11:00 am - 6:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Please visit the store to discover our wide array of furnishings that capture the imagination. Visit our website at MINT Interiors.
